I was told it had an old battery and all that it needed was a new one. I waited in my car and twenty minutes later went in and picked up my phone. It was fixed and working like new.
Then, the snowstorm hit and I was outside chain sawing some broken cedar from behind my home. A large limb hit my front trouser pocket where my iphone was. I had never broken a screen before and now had an epic "shattered" screen and "bent" phone case. Next day I went to The Austin Cell Phone and dropped it off. Drove to The Boat on Braker and ate lunch. Went back after less than an hour and picked up my "like new" iphone. Case straightened - screen replaced. While I was there I showed the technician my ipad that had a bent case. He said it was because the battery was old and swollen and was literally "pushing" the screen out of the ipad case - and he told me that he could have it fixed in about an hour. I was leaving town so I left it there and picked it up a few days later. The case was flat, the bump in the screen was gone, and the batteries had been replaced - so I no longer had to leave it charging to use it. Like new.
I highly recommend this shop if you want to have a repair done right, quickly, and for a very reasonable price. I'm glad I didn't throw out my damaged iphone and ipad - they're both functioning, and looking, great. The tech even schooled me on what to look for if the batteries didn't charge properly and told me to bring them back in for free replacements in the off chance the batteries had a manufacturing defect.
You'd be foolish not to try this place if you need your iphone or ipad repaired.
